Der erste Trailer von Martin Scorseses Dennis-Lehane-Verfilmung „Shutter Island“ ist online und er sieht verdammt gut aus:

Tony Scotts Verfilmung von John Godeys „The Taking of Pelham One Two Three“ (Die Entführung der U-Bahn 1 2 3) ist in den USA angelaufen und die Kritiker, wie Roger Ebert, sind nicht so begeistert. Ebert schreibt:
There’s not much wrong with Tony Scott’s “The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3,” except that there’s not much really right about it. Nobody gets terrifically worked up, except the special-effects people. (…) The 1974 version took place in a realistic, well-worn New York City. This version occupies a denatured action-movie landscape, with no time for local color and a transit system control room that humbles Mission Control. That also may explain the film’s lack of time to establish the supporting characters, even Travolta’s partners.

Und so sieht die erste Verfilmung von Godeys Roman mit Walter Matthau und Robert Shaw als „Stoppt die Todesfahrt der U-Bahn 1-2-3“ aus:
