Große Überraschungen gab es bei der diesjährigen, sehr flott über die Bühne gegangenen Oscar-Verleihung der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nicht. Dafür war „Oppenheimer“ der viel zu eindeutig gesetzte Favorit. „Poor Things“ und „The Zone of Interest“ schlugen sich tapfer – und Emma Stone war fassungslos, als sie – überraschend nach den Prognosen, aber sehr verdient – für ihr Spiel in „Poor Things“ einen Oscar als beste Schauspielerin erhielt.
