Die 78. Edgar-Verleihung war am 1. Mai in New York City. Die Edgars, bzw. genaugenommen die Edgar-Allan-Poe-Preise, werden seit 1946 von den Mystery Writers of America (MWA) verliehen und sie sind der wichtigste Krimipreis.
